National Day 2018

The school celebrated our nation's 53rd birthday on 8 August with an observance ceremony and assembly programme. For the Observance Ceremony, we are privileged to have one of our teachers, Captain (NS) Kenny Toh, as our Parade Commander. It is a way to pay tribute to our teachers who serve National Service. The flag bearers contingent consisted of members from our Uniformed Groups and Prefectorial EXCO. During the assembly segment, we presented the pupils with various scenarios, like our quality public housing and cleanliness, to instill national pride. The assembly ended with the singing of community songs led by the Aesthetics Department. Back in the classrooms, the lessons centred around the theme of Singapore as a city in a garden. Our Parent Support Group (PSG) helped the P1 and P2 pupils with the drawing of their green neighbourhood. The P3 to P6 pupils went through activities to help them think critically how Singapore can remain as a Garden City and at the same time plan for future urban development.
