Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund 2024
The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (STSPMF) is a financial assistance scheme initiated by The Straits Times to provide pocket money to school-going children from low-income families for school-related expenses such as recess meals or bus fares.
To be eligible for STSPMF, students have to meet the following criteria:
a) Student is a Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR); and
b) Family Is living in a 4-room HDB flat or smaller; and
c) Family has a gross per capita income (PCI) of $750/ month or less; and
d) Student is receiving full-time formal education at a mainstream primary/secondary school/Junior
College/ Centralised Institute/ Mixed Level/ specialised school/independent school/specialised
independent school/ MOE-designated full-time Madrasahs; and
e) Is not concurrently receiving school pocket money from another STSPMF disbursing agency or
receiving monthly school pocket money from other schemes, excluding MOE FAS; and
f) Has not been a STSPMF beneficiary for 24 months for the whole schooling years of primary
and secondary school and 48 months for post-secondary school.
Successful applicants / beneficiaries enrolled in primary school will receive S$65 per month in 2024.
Applications for STSPMF 2024 is now open for Primary 1 to Primary 5 students. Please submit the duly completed application form and the relevant documents to the General Office for processing by 31 August 2023.
